Welcome! We’re so pleased that you want to become a part of our store. Here is
how it works:
Please call for an appointment when bringing in clothes. The limit is 2 paper
bags at one time. You do not need to have an appointment for larger items or
toys, you may drop them off at anytime. Do keep in mind that we don’t except
summer toys in the winter or winter items in the summer.
When you bring your items in, we will select what our customers will buy.
Sometimes there will be items we cannot sell we call these “No Thank You Items”
once we have sorted through your items we will call you. Due to limited space we
ask you pick them up asap. After two weeks those items will be donated. Please
understand that our customers’ preferences must be our selection guidelines.
Some examples of NO THANK YOU ITEMS are, but not limited to:
1. Items that contain rips, stains, or missing buttons/zippers. Please do not
bring items in on hangers, thank-you !
2. Dirty/ broken or outdated items. This includes all items, toys, high chairs,
strollers etc. Please be sure all items are clean before you bring them in.
3. Musty or smoky smelling items will not be accepted. To avoid this problem
please bring in freshly laundered items and please do not bring items in a
plastic bag.
We base prices on supply and demand. We will get the best possible prices for
you. Coupons, promotions, and scheduled markdowns will affect the selling price.
You will receive 50% of the selling price if used for store credit and 40% if
used for cash.
We will display your items for 90 days. Markdowns will be at the discretion of
Smarty Pants, depending on supply and demand.
If you would like to retrieve any unsold items, please do so by the 90th day.
After 90 days we will call you to come and pick up your unsold items. You will
have maximum two weeks to pick up the unsold items, after that those items will
become the property of Smarty Pants and will be donated or re-sold.
We will do our best to safeguard your items; however we are not responsible for
damage or loss.
Please call Smarty Pants at any time to receive money owed to you! We will have
a check waiting for you to pick up. Consignors are responsible for inquiring
about and collecting their earnings.
For your convenience, you can check your account from home or the office. Just
go to: myresaleweb.com, find Smarty Pants in the drop box, enter in your account
number and last name.
Seasons for accepting clothing and accessories:
Fall and Winter Items: August 1st – January 31st
Spring and Summer Items: March 1st – June 30th
No Items accepted during Feb or July.
All other items, accepted year round!
We look forward to a long and mutually profitable association with you. After
all, we couldn’t do it without you, our partner in consigning!
